Parks Projects Update Pitt Meadows is the Natural Place where parks, open spaces, sports fields and green spaces are key to the way of life. Learn about some recent Parks Projects. Bike Stations Funded by Amazon The City is currently exploring community bike infrastructure by installing public bike repair stations. These stations will support active transportation and encourage more residents to cycle confidently and frequently. Learn more at pittmeadows.ca/parksprojects. 40 New Trees at Bonson Park In June, trees were planted at Bonson Park as part of the the overall park enhancement plan. These trees will grow to provide shade, add natural beauty and contribute to a more enjoyable park experience. Supported by BC Hydro Regreening Grant, the project highlights the City’s continued commitment to sustainability and expanding our urban forest. Lions Fun Park Upgrades In Progress The upgrades, inspired by the natural beauty of Pitt Meadows will feature an organic pathway winding through the park, creating an accessible and engaging space for children aged two to 12 to explore and play. See renderings and details at pittmeadows.ca/parksprojects. Orchard and Edible Garden An orchard and edible garden has been planted at Grabenhorst Garden and is now getting ready to open in July. Fruit trees, vegetables and herbs have been added to the space, which will be used for community programs and education. This project has been generously funded by the Government of Canada’s Local Food Infrastructure Fund. For details visit pittmeadows.ca/grabenhorst. 1 2 3 4
