Parks Projects Update Pitt Meadows is the Natural Place where parks, open spaces, sports fields and green spaces are key to the way of life in the city. Learn about some recent Parks projects. Harris Road Playground Installation - Phase 2 The installation of three additional play structures was completed at the end of May. The Konnection Swing, the On Saturday, May 28, 34 community members joined the Green Team in restoring MacLean Park. Thanks to everyone's hard work, 8.5 cubic metres (equivalent to the volume of 53 bathtubs!) of invasive Himalayan blackberry, English ivy and Common periwinkle were removed from this natural area! This activity was made possible through a partnership with the City of Pitt Meadows and Green Teams of Canada. Somerset Park Improvements Improvements and repairs to the Somerset Park/Edith McDermott Elementary racquet and basketball courts were completed. During the same period, a small section of the Somerset Park trail was also repaired. Orange Blooms June 21 was National Indigenous Peoples Day, orange flowers were planted at the Fraser Way Roundabout Park in honour of the Indigenous lives lost at residential schools across Canada. 1 2 3 4 Volta Inclusive Spinner and the Accessible Ship.
