Fencing - L2 Training Program 11Y - 19Y

Pre-requisite: L1 Training Program. After graduation from an L1 program, fencers move into our L2 and then L3 programs. Students will be learning in the L2 program for 1-2 years as they move from basic skills to more advanced technical and tactical knowledge. These programs are skilled assessment based, using an advancement system from the Canadian Fencing Federation similar to other martial arts programs. Students must have their own equipment.

Spending time at home alone while your parents are busy running errands or working? This Canadian Red Cross Stay Safe program provides the skills needed to safely look after yourself. We will cover basic first aid and interactive lessons and scenarios that will help you and your parents feel more confident when you are home alone. This program will teach skills that are needed to care for children. Topics include safety, basic first aid, managing behaviours, child development, and care for babies, toddlers & children, communication, etc. You will receive a Canadian Red Cross Babysitters Certification upon successful completion of the tested material. Please bring a pen, a water bottle and a bagged lunch and wear comfortable clothes. Instructor: Pacific First Aid Location: Multipurpose Room - PMFRC Sessions: 2 Fee: $70.00

Offered by Tri-City Fencing Academy, this youth program begins with a four-session introductory class, teaching the basic actions of the sport, allowing students to progress in their fencing skills in a short time. Fencing is a great cardiovascular workout, improving hand-eye coordination, concentration, mental focus and physical stamina. It provides a fun and competitive atmosphere that builds self-confidence
