Babysitter Training 11Y - 15Y

Fencing - L2 Training Program 11Y - 19Y

This program will teach skills that are needed to care for children. Topics include: safety, basic first aid, managing behaviours, child development, and care for babies, toddlers & children, communication, etc. You will receive a Canadian Red Cross Babysitters Certification upon successful completion of test-ed material. Please bring a pen, a water bottle and a bagged lunch, and wear comfortable clothes. This Canadian Red Cross Stay Safe program provides the skills needed to safely look after yourself. We will cover Basic First Aid, and interactive lessons and scenarios that will help you and your parents feel more con-fident when you are home alone. Pre-requisite: L1 Training Program. After graduation from an L1 program, fencers move into our L2 and then L3 programs. Students will be learning in the L2 program for 1-2 years as they move from basic skills to more advanced technical and tactical knowledge. These programs are skills assessment based, using an advancement system from the Canadian Fencing Federation similar to other martial arts pro-grams. Students must have their own equipment. Fencing - Youth Beginners 9Y+ 9Y - 15Y

Offered by Tri-City Fencing Academy, this youth program begins with a four-session introductory class, teaching the basic actions of the sport, allowing students to progress in their fencing skills in a short time. Fencing is great cardio work-out, improving hand-eye coordination, concentration, mental focus and physical stamina. All equipment provided. Pre-requisite: Fencing Youth Beginners. After completion of a beginners program students enter the L1 Training program and will develop strong technical sport fencing basics. Instruction byTri-City Acad-emy. (A deposit of $150 is required to sign-out equipment with TriCity Academy and will be refunded upon return/and no damage.) Youth Nature Photography Walk 11Y - 14Y

Explore Pitt Meadows, the natural place through a new lens of discovery. Learn and improve the skills of photography while connecting and building new friendships. Whether focused on animals, nature or landscapes; this outdoor program will allow you to see the world around you like never before.
