Discover the Tranquility of Grabenhorst Garden A Place to Connect, Reflect, and Explore This summer, discover peace and natural beauty at the new Grabenhorst Garden, located at 13895 Harris Road in Pitt Meadows. This five-acre property in the Agricultural Land Reserve celebrates nature, history and community. Once a horse pasture in the 1970s and later a Christmas tree farm, the land was transformed by Rose Grabenhorst into a woodland garden. Over three decades, Rose planted more than 700 rhododendrons, created walking trails and designed spaces for reflection. The City is grateful to Rose’s daughters for transitioning the land to a public park. Rose’s daughters, Diana, Tina and Monica, share their heartfelt connection to the garden: “Our family is so happy that our mother’s legacy will live on in Pitt Meadows. We hope the community will spend time in her garden and appreciate the hard work and passion that created this special place.” Grabenhorst Garden is more than a park; it’s a sanctuary where nature and community meet together. We are excited for the community to come and experience the beauty, history, and legacy of this cherished space. Grabenhorst Garden is currently an active construction site, closed to the public and set to open in Summer 2025. Bonson Park has been transformed into a vibrant, multi use community space designed for year-round fun and connection, offering amenities for everyone to enjoy in every season. The park opened back up in the winter months to allow for tobogganing. Work on the park continues to bring the project to full completion including drainage elements as the grass settles, and the upcoming installation of permanent t-boxes once the park has seen a season of full course testing and usage. Exciting Features Include: Disc Golf Course: A brand-new course for all ages and abilities, with removable targets for winter versatility. Winter Tobogganing Hills: Enhanced slopes ready for sledding when snow falls. Natural Shaded Canopy Areas: Perfect for outdoor gatherings, picnics or relaxing in nature. Flood Mitigation: The park has been raised by two feet, with swales added to manage stormwater efficiently. Sustainability: Upgrades enhance usability and environmental resilience. Bonson Park’s evolution, from a simple fill site to a dynamic recreational hub, highlights its rich history. Once a dry, grassy area with limited summer use, it is now a year-round destination for activity and relaxation.
