vital role pollinators play in healthy gardens and ecosystems in this engaging, hands-on workshop. Participants will learn about bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects, and how thoughtful plant choices can support biodiversity right at home. The session also introduces edible flowers, exploring how they can be used in cooking, garnishing and garden design for both beauty and function. Participants will leave with a better understanding of pollinator-friendly planting practices, along with a seed pack of pollinator-attracting flowers to grow at home. Over six sessions, participants learn to cut and sew garments and accessories, work with non stretch fabrics, hem, create elastic waistbands, finish edges, add darts and follow commercial patterns. Two projects will be completed from options such as tops, pants, skirts or bags. All tools and machines are supplied, with the option to bring your own. You will need to purchase materials, which will be discussed in the first class.
