Get ready for a summer of adventure UNDER THE SEA! SUMMER READING CLUB 2026

Let’s get crafty! Drop in to the Pitt Meadows library for a fun family craft. This month let’s make one-of-a-kind Shrinky Dink Charms for jewellery or keychains. Design your charm and watch it shrink when it gets heated. You will get to take home a totally unique keychain charm or pair of earrings!

Art Nights: Watercolours Thurs, July 16, 5:30–7:30 pm

Virtual Reality Mon, July 6, + Tues, July 7, 1:30–6:00 pm Mon, Aug 10, and Tues, Aug 11, 1:30–6 pm Join us for an afternoon of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality games played on the Meta Quest 3. Sign up for a 15 minute time slot to play from a selection of games. Players MUST be 10+. Players aged 10–12 must have a parent/guardian sign a waiver. Ages 13+ may sign the waiver themselves. Registration online required. Teen Creative Lounge Wed, July 8, 15, 22, 29 and Aug 5, 12, 19, 26 (Wed in July + Aug) 11:30 am–2:00 pm Join us every Wednesday during Summer Break for a chill and creative break in the library. Teens are welcome to sit down and work on creative projects like drawing, painting, writing, or just relaxing with fellow artists. Some basic art supplies will be provided and you are welcome to bring your own supplies. We will have snacks and an area just for you.

Whether you’re new to painting or looking to refine your skills, our program offers a welcoming space for exploration and growth. Learn fundamental techniques such as washes, blending and colour mixing. Adults and teens welcome. Registration online required.

Mario Kart Tournament Tues, Aug 18, 1:30–3 pm

Abstract Acrylics Thurs, Aug 27, 5:30–7:30 pm

Go for the gold and race against fellow contestants in our Summer Mario Kart Tournament! Players need to show up on time to enter the tournament. This will be a double elimination bracket with prizes for the top 3 players!

Embark on an exciting journey into the realm of abstract acrylic painting with our beginner program! No prior experience required, just a willingness to explore and experiment with vibrant colors and bold shapes. Join us and let your imagination take flight with acrylics! Adults and Teens welcome.
