Join Marjorie from Harper's Cookie Haven in this beginner friendly, hands-on class where you'll be introduced to royal icing: what it is and how to use it to create beautifully decorated cookies. You'll learn essential skills such as piping and flooding, along with some simple design techniques to complete six beach-themed sugar cookies to take home. Family Open Art Studio As part of our Open Art Studio Program, the City offers subsidized workshops and artist talks. Pre registration is required as space is limited. Join us for Family Open Art Studio sessions this July and August! Participate as a family to explore your artistic side by creating artwork inspired by the current exhibition at the Pitt Meadows Art Gallery. We provide all the materials and project ideas—just bring your creativity and enjoy the fun! Pre-register your child (up to four children per family) as space and supplies are limited. Sessions are open to all ages; however, this is intended as a family activity, so all children will need to be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian (maximum two adults per family).
