Dance - LatinFit/Line Dancing: Beginner/Refresher 19Y+ A fun Latin Fit and Line Dancing-inspired class of Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia, Samba, Salsa and Waltz led by Doris. This is great for those new to dance and/or as a refresher for the experienced. We will be executing footwork to various genres of music, some new and familiar oldies. Bring a water bottle, clean soft-soled shoes or runners and wear comfortable clothes to move in. Join Kyrst Hogan (also known as Burgundy Brixx) in this fun and feisty open-level dance class for adults with flavours of Broadway and burlesque! Each class begins with a warm-up which includes elements of ballet, yoga and Broadway jazz to get you warm and flexible, then moves into technique building exercises such as kicks, turns and isolations and concludes with a sassy piece of choreography to integrate the skills learned in each class and let you shine! Most moves are low-impact and suitable for all ages and abilities. Dance heels (theatre or ballroom style) are recommended but not required. Soft dance shoes or dance sneakers are also acceptable. Bare-feet, socks or soft dance shoes are recommended for warm-up.
