Adult Programs Cabaret Jazz Dance 19Y+

Join Kyrst Hogan (also known as Burgundy Brixx) in this fun and feisty open-level dance class for adults with flavours of Broadway and burlesque! Each class begins with a warm-up which includes elements of ballet, yoga and Broadway jazz to get you warm and flexible, then moves into technique building exercises such as kicks, turns and isolations and concludes with a sassy piece of choreography to integrate the skills learned in each class and let you shine! Most moves are low-impact and suitable for all ages and abilities. Dance heels (theatre or ballroom style) are recommended but not required. Soft dance shoes or dance sneakers are also acceptable. Bare-feet, socks or soft dance shoes are recommended for warm-up. Dancefit-Fusion 19Y+

This is not your Latin or Zumba class, but a fusion of cardio-fitness-dance inspired with energetic pop soundtracks, adventurous African beats to Hip Hop, Cabaret, Salsa and more. Classes vary from fluid movements to fancy footwork and intricate hands and arm movements, while using some props such as a scarf, hat, drumsticks etc. Come ready to grove in your workout gear, clean shoes, and be inspired for a fun class of dance fusion.
