Dance - Latin Line Dancing 16Y+

A fun Latin line dancing-inspired class of merengue, bachata, cumbia, samba, salsa and waltz led by Doris. This class is suitable for all, whether you are new to social dance or have some previous experience. Classes are small to work on your choreography. We will be executing footwork to various genres of music, including some new and familiar oldies. Bring a water bottle, clean soft-soled shoes or runners and wear comfortable clothes to move in. Meet other parents and babies and enjoy the benefits of exercise as you gain more energy, stronger muscles and lower your risk of postpartum depression, among other benefits. All fitness levels are welcome. Participants should be at least 4 weeks postpartum (6 weeks for caesareans). Open to all ages of stroller-aged babies and tots. Mobile babies and tots should remain in strollers or carriers until core work. This program offers private one-on-one piano lessons with a highly trained classical pianist. Each lesson is personalized to the student’s ability, skill level and interest. Students will learn the fundamentals of piano playing, such as note reading, technique, rhythm, theory and sight reading, in a positive and fun environment. Those with former musical experience will strengthen their musical knowledge, refine their skills and build their confidence. From classical music to pop music, students will study a wide range of musical genres. Students will also have the option to participate in a final class recital at the end of the term. Piano or keyboard practice at home is necessary for this course, as well as piano lesson books (from $15).
