Father's Day Pitt Lake Sasquatch Walk 16Y+
Need a unique Father’s Day gift idea or activity? Join Gina and Victoria from Haunted History BC, on a Pitt Lake walking excursion to experience the spookier side of this peaceful and tranquil environment which is shrouded in mystery. Explore easy walking trails along the lake while narrators Gina and Victoria share stories of Sasquatch sightings, sample recordings of Bigfoot vocalizations, and documents relating to the hairy creature and possible connections to unidentified flying objects in the area. Then dive into the lore of the cursed gold mine and sightings of Slumach’s ghost. Dads will receive a special gift of a Haunted History BC blanket or a Ghosts and Monsters perpetual calendar and flashlight pen! It’s Father’s Day weekend, but all are welcome to register. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather and possible muddy terrain. Bring water, and an optional camera and binoculars.
The Artist Behind the Mask All Ages Richard Brodeur is a well-known professional hockey goaltender who earned the nickname ‘King Richard’, for
assisting the Vancouver Canucks to the Stanley Cup finals in 1982. But, did you know he is also an accomplished and long-time artist? He began sketching in high school and continued his passion of art throughout his hockey career and now pursues painting full time. Enjoy an evening with Richard Brodeur as he shares his personal journey as an artist and how the game of hockey has influenced his work and where he finds inspiration as an artist today. There will be an opportunity to engage with Richard through a short question and answer period, signing, and to view his current exhibition The King and the Artist at the Pitt Meadows Art Gallery (PMAG).
